Howl's Moving Castle Is Already a Legend

Howl’s Moving Castle is the most financially successful anime film. It was released in 2004 worldwide and remains one of the bestselling movies. Though it is based on the novel of Diana Wynne Jones, I think it should be watched as an original story.

When I watched the movie for the first time, I was deeply impressed by the good plot and fascinating animation. I am not an admirer of anime films, to be completely earnest, but this one is a surprising exception. I dislike Japanese anime because of its being too bright, unexpected, chaotic, sometimes violent and quite trivial. However, Howl’s Moving Castle is a romantic fairy-tale about friendship, love and devotion. As for the production I assume that computer technologies made it possible to create something colorful but tranquil. The military scenes are quite violent and a little bit chaotic, but in general I did not mind watching them since they enhanced the necessary background for the main characters’ love. Many writing term paper works and writing term paper assignments articulate that the movie is not good since it is too far from the book. I do think that Hayao Miyazaki wrote an outstanding story based on the novel. In my opinion, there is no need to repeat what is already said, it is much better to introduce something new into this world. Basically, Howl’s Moving Castle is the best feature anime film which can be interesting for children, teenagers and adults.
